INSPIRED project and in partnership with ILO, WEAB have attended a five-day training programme on " Entrepreneurship Development & Business Management", “Start Your Business”, developed by ILO which is specifically organized for those entrepreneurs who have recently established their businesses or those who would want to establish their own businesses. This five-day training programme scheduled from Saturday, 23rd to Wednesday, 27th July 2016. The training programme will take place at the premises of Bangladesh bank Training Academy (BBTA), in Mirpur.

Women Entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh (WEAB) demands Realistic National Budget (2012-2013)
On June 19, 2012, the women entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh (WEAB) held a meeting to discuss on National Budget (2012-13) in Kawran Bazar (Dhaka). This meeting was presided over by the President of WEAB, Mrs. Nasreen Awal Mintoo who reviewed the National Budget (2012-2013) presented in the national Parliament. She has praised the Honorable Finance Minister for allocation of Tk. 100 crore to women entrepreneur and homeless women but demanded of equitable distribution of funds for the Welfare of Women Communities irrespective of their classes. According to WEAB, most of the Women Entrepreneur at the grass root fails to comply with the traditional rules and regulations of Ministry of Commerce, and facing access problems either to business Chambers or Association.

WEAB President Ms Nasreen Awal Mintoo distributed fishing net, blanket and dry food among 600 SIDOR hit families of Baliatari Village in Borguna District on 29th Dec 2007. WEAB EC-members M/s. Honorable Minister for External Affairs, Government if India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the Conclave.

9th to 13th May 2006: Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (L2) visit the WEAB stall at D-8 Trade Exhibition held in Bali, Indonesia.

25th April, 2006: H.E. Abdul Gayoom, President of Maldives inaugurated the trade fair in Male organized by SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneur Council (Maldives Chapter) Vice Chairperson of SCWEC Maldives, Ms. Shaira Saleem, Former President of SCCI Macky Hashim, 1st Vice President of WEAB Ms. Naaz Farhana Ahmed, 2nd Vice President Sajeda Minhaj Mukul, Secretary of SAARC Chamber, Women Entrepreneur Council Shahruk Rahman and Loan Committee's Chairperson of WEAB Sharif Sene Shembil and Entrepreneur from other SAARC Countries were also seen in the picture.

22nd March 2006: President of WEAB, Mrs. Nasreen Awal Mintoo attended a meeting of Indian business leaders in Tajmahal Hotel New Delhi, India as a female business delegate of honourable Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia to address Bangladeshi concerns in the growing trade gap between the neighboring countries.

14th March, 2006: The Gala Award Night held at Gulshan Club, Dhaka organized by Women Entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh. The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Barrister Moudud Ahmed as Chief Guest and Mir Shahabuddin Mohammad, Vice Chairman, EPB, Pioneer Educationist Rokeya Mannan were present as Special Guest.
